We have been doing events for quite some time now and whilst on the whole they are enjoyable to do, they do disrupt the whole work life balance ethos that we were hoping to achieve.
We have been on a waiting list for a possible small retail space within a marketplace, something we didnt really consider to be an option due to the costs. It has been evident that our High Streets have been struggling to cope and we realise for us to join one would be business suicide. The rents, rates and bills are a complete rip off and we are too small to be able to cope.
But this opportunity is just a small unit, no bigger than a small bedroom but it would suit us a starting position to try and grow further.
I am not telling you where it is or any more details as I dont want to jinx it, but I have sent in our proposal for the space today and will have to wait a couple of weeks to see if we have been lucky enough to be accepted.
The lease starts on the 1st November so we would have to move fast to get it set up to try and catch the Christmas trade.
